1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that the web pages you visit store on your computer or mobile device, without being able to access other files or documents stored on these devices. The web server that placed the cookie can access it again when the user revisits the associated website. Cookies are essential for browsing web pages and they remember information such as user preferences, the region from which the website is accessed, security settings and more. They are used to improve the browsing experience, to analyse traffic and to carry out marketing activities.
2. Types of cookies used by www.econta.ro
The cookies used on www.econta.ro are classified as follows:
- Functional cookies (strictly necessary): These ensure the technical functioning of the website.
- Analytics cookies: These anonymous cookies help analyse how users navigate our website, in order to improve the user experience.
- Marketing cookies: These are used to make marketing messages more relevant to users and to improve the browsing experience.
Cookies can be of two types, depending on how long they last:
- Session cookies: These cookies are temporary and are deleted when the browsing session ends.
- Persistent cookies: These cookies stay on the user’s device for a set period.
3. Cookies used by www.econta.ro
On the website we use only the tools below. The list is complete.
- Google Analytics 4 (statistics) and Google Ads (advertising), only with your consent. They are not loaded at all until you press “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you press “Reject”, they are not loaded. After “Accept”, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, up to 2 years) and, if we run Google Ads campaigns, _gcl_* (Google Ads, 90 days). Your choice is kept in your browser for 12 months (the key econta_consent_v1 in localStorage); after that we ask you again. You can change it at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the page.
- HubSpot (visit tracking and forms). The HubSpot script is loaded on all pages and sets the cookies hubspotutk (up to 6 months), __hstc (up to 6 months), __hssc (30 minutes) and __hssrc (session). We use them to link the requests sent through the website forms to the pages visited before, so that we can contact you about your request.
- PostHog (statistics without cookies). We measure visits in a “cookieless” way: PostHog does not set cookies, does not create visitor profiles and does not record sessions.
Date of the last update of the list: 11.10.2026
